    2. Because that's a "Hun" topping off, AKA an F-100 Super Sabre, which last flew in active service units about 1972, and was retired from ANG units in 1979.
      A2A refueling 43 years ago would classify as "old school".

  2. That's a F-100 Super Saber, USAF retired those back in 1971.

  3. I think the production version of the filler tube was fuselage mounted. This might have been an R&D design being trialed.
