And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I’ve had one since they came out …really like it; few years later, sent it in for feed roller repair - came back , repaired, so quickly I couldn’t believe it. Changed the cutter head for a spiral carbide aftermarket unit ~ made it even better. HIGHLY recommend it!
AMEN. Best damn hobby shop planer in existence. But that spiral insert cutter blade will cost as much as the rest of the planer! And by the way, for you serious woodworkers: if you put a piece of dryer duct on the outlet, and a small ClearVue cyclone on a 5 gal bucket off to one side, you'll have a damn fine dust collector system. Just watch out for static electricity! (Do not, repeat not, use the cheap cyclones- they won't handle the airflow).
I have one also, and added the spiral head. A friend bought the same rig for himself. Thanks for the tip about dust collection. I built a collector based on a 55-gallon plastic trash can (with cover) and big PVC fittings, and you're right; it can't keep up with the airflow. I haven't gotten around to a redesign yet. Had thought about adding in a big shop vac, downstream of the trash can.
