I've spent many nights camping above 10,000' and far from human settlements. But I've not seen a night sky so majestic as when sailing hundreds or thousands of miles away from land. So glorious that you cry in joyous rapture. Stars to the horizon in all quadrants as bright as straight above. Yes, to read by starlight.

Agreed. The Indian Ocean and South Pacific were incredible under a night sky.
