And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Ah, Leavenworth. She ain't what she used to be. Back in the 80s it was kind of a quirky little town, but fun. Now it's all glitzy and overrun with Seattleites. I think even the Pepto-Bismol building is gone. Or at least it's not pink anymore. Liberals ruin everything.
I pass this every so often on my way over the pass. One time I stopped to get coffee and the lady met me outside in her nightgown and proceeded to make my latte.... It's a little different place but good coffee
Just past the turn-off for Index heading east. Check-out the town of Index sometime. Also they just cleared the road north of town, it has been closed for a few years due to a slide. Beautiful area!
