  3. That's an old myth that just won't die. Here's a video of old vs new, note that the steering column pushes the dummy and the seat backward.

    Today's cars have strong steel bumpers hidden under the polyurethane, crumple zones on both ends, and side impact beams in the doors to keep the occupants in the safety cell alive.

  6. The windshield wasn't broken from the inside because the steering columns wouldn't collapse.
