And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I've got a 3/8" set from '69 with a ratchet like that. Didn't they have to stop making those due to patent infringement? Seems like for a while they didn't have the switch like that. Did they settle?
Craftsman today: chinese crap. Proof: it doesn't say "USA" on any of the tools. You want good stuff, hit E-bay and be prepared to pay thru the nose for the old stuff. And no, that "lifetime warranty" expired 20 years ago. I bought a metric shit-ton of Craftsman, for myself and my kids, in the 80s. Today? NFW.

ReplyDeleteIt's a hint about the quality of the modern 'Craftsman' line, when their selling point ('Versastack') is to brag about the plastic storage case.
ReplyDeleteDO they still have the lifetime warranty?
ReplyDeletedon't know but just try to find a Sears store to return them. hah !
DeleteI had a set like that. I also had a car that was a hatchback. The hot summer sun warped the plastic storage case. It was never the same.

ReplyDeleteMore commie shit....how big is your cut??
ReplyDeleteNo, they do not have the lifetime warranty any more. Someone bought the name out of the Sears bankruptcy and it's all Chinesium garbage now.
