  2. My buddies and I would play euchre during lunch hour (latter part of high school). The priests and nuns would have had a conniption if they caught us gambling--but euchre was innocuous enough.

    1. At one time euchre was the most popular card game in the US; now it's only known in western NY and parts of PA and OH.

  4. Ha! Water bottles? I can remember drinking from a porcelain fountain where the water barely came out so you had to practically put your mouth on it. And we liked it. And in the summer it got mossy. We had great immune systems.
