Better than being glued to their cellphones. I guess.
My buddies and I would play euchre during lunch hour (latter part of high school). The priests and nuns would have had a conniption if they caught us gambling--but euchre was innocuous enough.
Ha! Water bottles? I can remember drinking from a porcelain fountain where the water barely came out so you had to practically put your mouth on it. And we liked it. And in the summer it got mossy. We had great immune systems.
Kind of reminds me of the card game Spoons, but in reverse.

DeleteStill a big game in the Mississippi valley and adjacent areas from the Quad Cities up through LaCrosse.
DeleteThe male of the species does not tolerate boredom for long.
