And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
The vertical cylinder version was safer, although it didn't LOOK it. Very large diameter cylinder, everyone puts their back to the wall, and it spins up to 2-3 g's, probably. Then the floor drops away. So, while the pretty girls are stuck to the wall like a bug in a collection, you get to your feet and walk around to where they are, and chat with them. Some of them would attempt to stand up, which was the main hazard to them, as few were in good enough condition to have the muscle control and strength to get vertical. Falls were damaging. Summer boardwalks and county fairs?
