And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
No curtains or shades on the windows? If this bedroom is anywhere north of Chicago or Milwaukee, the winters would be so cold that you'd not be able to stay in the bed due to the incredible cold temperatures coming through the glass.
Hudson Bay blankets are forever…and that’s a great bed nook, windows should be slightly open for that grandma “it’s good for you” cold breeze even if the small woodstove is hissing away in the corner. Perfect.
Having spent a couple years in a 28' camp trailer at 7500' I can feel the cold pouring in off those single pane windows. OK if there's a wood burnin stove goin strong, nearby. Even that gets you a pre-dawn wakeup to stoke the stove n melt the frost off the inside of the glass.
