    1. Great times? lol
      uh, OK....
I lived with OD green wool blankets too but never thought of them as "great" times.

  3. No curtains or shades on the windows? If this bedroom is anywhere north of Chicago or Milwaukee, the winters would be so cold that you'd not be able to stay in the bed due to the incredible cold temperatures coming through the glass.

  4. Hudson Bay blankets are forever…and that’s a great bed nook, windows should be slightly open for that grandma “it’s good for you” cold breeze even if the small woodstove is hissing away in the corner. Perfect.

  5. I have a few Hudson Bay blankets. Worth their weight in gold in my opinion.

  6. It would also need an afternoon sun. I like to sleep in once in a while.

  7. Having spent a couple years in a 28' camp trailer at 7500' I can feel the cold pouring in off those single pane windows. OK if there's a wood burnin stove goin strong, nearby. Even that gets you a pre-dawn wakeup to stoke the stove n melt the frost off the inside of the glass.
