  1. As with George Patton, I have an affinity for ivory grips...not faux ivory either.

  2. mom had a 38 like that one. old school Smith. she loaded hers with wad cutters though. she learned to shoot back in high school in the 1930's
was on the school team too. she used to out shoot dad all the time with a pistol.
although with a rifle is was a lot closer. no ivory grips though. well worn walnut.

  4. Mine is a 4" Satin Blue Model 19-4 .357 mag with recessed cylinders and a pinned barrel. I have other sidearms but I've never actually needed any other sidearms.

  5. An elegant weapon, not like one of those: "Polymer Blasters" (read Glock).

    2. An elegant weapon for a simpler time. I still carry one though.

  7. To me, those rounds appear to be .38 Spcl. FMJ. Very attractive revolver. Those S&W Magma type grips look great !

  8. Probably a heavy barrel model 10, could be a model 13, 357. Yeah, I saw the 38 special ammo. Either one is a worthy weapon.

  9. Still have a pair of model 13's I picked up in the late 70's.

  10. If you want a .38 buy a .357 magnum, then you've got a choice. Run out of magnum shoot .38+p or .38 spl.
A S&W five shot spurless .357 is a good concealed carry. Hard on the hand with magnum rounds.
A Sneaky Pete holster fools the unknowing. It'll carry a five round stripper clip as extra ammo.

  11. Nice, but the rounds aren't what's in the box. Those are FMJ, not Hydra-Shok.
