  3. Those Europeans really know how to keep an immaculate junkyard, gotta say.

  4. Wooden chassis, that's all one needs to know.

  5. I've owned two, and they spent more time in the workshop than on the road; absolute garbage.

    1. What, you expected the French to let the good quality stuff leave their borders?

  6. Among my many cars I have had at least one Citroen for decades. These are European DS series cars, of which I’ve had six.

I have found they easy to work on, fun to drive and always brings on a crowd.

The systems are no more complicated than farm/construction equipment or an aircraft. Needless to say if you can’t wrench on those and follow directions, they are not a car for you.

Presently we have six Citroens in my toy box, though not the type shown here.

Was the DS well suited to North American road conditions? With hindsight I would think not so much when theses cars were new, but now as fun-cars kept out of winter salt, they are a blast.
