And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Ever look out the window and something doesn't look right? Something made me go look again and there she was, the elusive Cooper's Hawk (female) that's been hunting the property all summer. I've only ever gotten a fleeting glimpse of her as she bolted from the trees but tonight she was perched in a leafless tree that afforded me good look. She's big and healthy and probably the reason I find tufts of feathers while out walking the property.
