And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Yea, maybe not. I have worn Mechanix brand gloves for well over a decade and the quality has gone down badly. They don't last even with very light use. They might as well sell them with holes already in them because they develop holes so fast it is basically the same. A shame because this was a brand I used to love and rely on.
I've had the same experience with those Mechanix gloves as Mountain Rat, and also am not a fan of all the "retarded verbiage." I recently replaced a pair of Mechanix of that style with Carhartt's glove of a very similar style. I can't give you a report on how long they last without holes, but they do not have any retarded verbiage on them.
Found one of those leather gloves in the early 00's, while patrolling the freeways of Silicon Valley. Very well made, almost new, and it fit me like the proverbial glove. Scoured the area, but the mate never turned up, and I never saw them in the stores. It was a much better made glove than what is in that photo. Lost gloves were about the most common thing to find on the road. I kept them to give out to tow drivers that turned up at crash sites barehanded. You do NOT want to touch used winch cables with bare hands!

ReplyDeleteAll that retarded verbiage all over the place. No thanks.
