And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I have two ESSE blades, a three inch and a six inch. ESSE makes very good blades. The steel is hard and tough and holds an edge. I did find that the edge on both were not what I call sharp out of the box. The hardness requires patience when honing. They come with a rubberized(?) coating meant to prevent rust that peels and looks bad with use over time. The coating can be removed with paint remover. Remove the scales to prevent damage to them from the paint remover. Keep the coating on the tang to protect the steel under the scales.
