  1. Been there, done that. It's call a "Heavy Drop", dropping anything like the HumVee you see to M199 105 mm with rounds, fuzes and charges. Pain in the ass was to rig it up for the drop, as the "riggers" were there to supervise but the people who are dropping the equipment have to do the rigging. 2/319th AFAR, 82nd ABN Div.

  2. The loadmaster is one busy man. Lot of responsibilities making sure everything is secure and loaded correctly. Also make sure that package goes straight as it goes out the aircraft.

  3. That’s a small heavy drop. Done that with an M551 Sheridan from C130s and C141s, and 4 M551s daisy chained together from a C5, back in my 3/73 Armor days. (The Free World’s Only Airborne Armor Battalion).
