And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I was skiing one time late season, sitting near the lodge having a beer and waiting on a brat (ironically) at a grillside picnic table they'd set up. They drove the Wienermobile up slope from me for some event. And it didn't stop. And then started sliding backwards. Directly towards me with beer in one hand and legs (in opened ski boots) trapped in heavy snow under the table. Stopped about 8' away. Worse way to go than having your nuts bitten off by a Laplander.
It’s better when one of them drives in and out of a tunnel entrance repeatedly…
ReplyDeleteA few years ago a crane almost toppled from that bridge.
ReplyDeleteThe Mr Peanutmobile was headed south on I-26 in Spartanburg last month. Didn't know there was one.
ReplyDeleteBeen a long time since I saw the OscarMeyerMobile...
ReplyDeleteOne was at my local grocery store a couple months back. I understand that they actually have 6 of them. Love the tunnel comment

ReplyDeleteI saw the Weinermobile drive into a tunnel on PCH once.
ReplyDeleteIt reminded me of a cheating ex.
Saw this: Oscar Mayer will pay Wienermobile drivers $35K to travel across US in a giant hot dog.
