And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Howard Hughes was busy trying to figure out how to shave rivet heads off to reduce drag, and Ford builds something like this? There's a reason Ford ain't in the airplane business anymore.
Hughes and Stout(the Trimotor's desinger) were working towards different goals. Since there are still Ford Trimotors flying, I think Ford and Stout met their goals.
I am under the impression that this is an old Fort Tri-motor plane.

One used to fly from Port Clinton, Oh to Put-In-Bay island, delivering mail, groceries, and some of us ice-fisherman, when Erie would ice-over!
