And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
The windex comment got me thinking. I'm 80 YO and I've never washed a window and my wives haven't either. Do people still wash windows? How do they get dirty?
How do your home floors get dirty? How do your walls get dirty? How does your furniture get dirty? Maybe at 80, you just can't see the filth.
Where I live in the plains of Colorado, the 10 - 30 MPH wind that blows almost all day everyday carries dust and dirt and spreads it everywhere inside of our home.
We also have three large German Shepherd rescue pooches. Their dirty wet noses very often make our windows and sliding glass doors a mess.

ReplyDeleteAgreed.
DeleteI'd need an AC window unit starting about April. Looks fun for a weekend.
ReplyDeleteDepends on the climate.
DeleteDoesn't look like much fun if it gets hot, cold, or rainy.
DeleteAlso have to buy Windex in 5-gallon drums.
Day bed and night bed in one!
