And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
He is holding the shotgun right handed, but aiming with his left eye. At least he will give the duck something to laugh about with his friends in the Duck Bar, that night.
Left-eye dominant, but right eye was always greatly better (better than 20/20). Finally got LASIK in late 30s on only left eye and had trouble hitting s@#$ with a shotgun or pistol for years. I finally gave up on technique and just identify with both eyes and then 3/4 squint prior to trigger pull.
Left eye dominant and ambidextrous but left trigger finger partially disabled from tendon damage. Shooting right-handed pistol double-action when I need a strong trigger finger I found it worked better to close my right eye.
Hard to aim accurately with your eye closed, but what a great artwork by Mr. Rockwell! That spaniel is ready to go!
ReplyDeleteDaffy sez... "Hey, Buster... somebody could get hurt with that thing!!"

ReplyDeleteYou shoot a shotgun with both eyes open unless you are battling eye dominance issues.
