And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Exposed pulleys on those engines is a potential liability. People have been injured or killed by flying pulleys on those exposed engine Bugs. There are guards made for the basic Bug setup.
All those chains are very impressive. (Looks at car). What are you going to hook them to?

I think most of us who had Vdubs and Porsches back in the 60s and 70s have a dislike for the excesses of rear end exposure.
