And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

My s/o is Russian and her family has lot of military photos, from old to current. What always bothered me is there is no real order to their medals. They looked pinned on all Willy nilly and it’s especially noticeable when people stand in groups. (I excuse this photo for different generation and uniform, I’m more so talking about people with the same uniform and timeframe)
Coming from my own military background where we had strict measurements and placements, other country uniforms trigger my ocd.
He may be using a walking stick, but he's still ready to pull that dagger and plunge it into your Bolshevik heart.
