And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
You know, we take civilization for granted in the first world, but in most of the rest of the world electricity is just magicke and it's a wonder they don't all electrocute themselves. I just consider it natural selection in populations that can't or won't go to the effort to learn anything.
Including, sadly, some wide swaths of our country also.
Disabling a device that prevents your house from burning down if you have a short in the walls because rats ate the insulation seems like a pretty bad idea to me.
