And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Was the original made out of fibreglass or somesuch? Might be a repro/dad special, with all the odd details added. I would have expected steel, but mine was plastic, orange and said Allis-Chalmers on the side.
Anon, this was the 40's. Fiberglass and the 53 corvette was still several years in the future. This is just good old pressed steel. What you had I guess was the later rubber composite pedal tractor. I still have a couple of tractors stored away.I'm sure one is steel but I think one is a composite John Deere. The idea with the replaced wheels, fuel tank on the bumper, and the exhaust headers was to make it resemble a 60's "gasser" class drag car. Bubbarust
