And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Very cool wagon. Was the base motor in wagons an upgrade from the Falcon sedans? Early versions had 2 options (I think) but would the wagon offer the lower powered one?
I had a '61 Falcoon station wagon with a 170 ci and a three on the tree and 4" channel iron bumpers front and rear. Beat the hell out of it, drove it six miles after one of the radiator hoses blew, fixed the hose, filled it with warm water and drove it for two more years. That thing went through more little trees and bushes than I can count and still kept going. Traded up to a newer vehicle but I still miss that old beast.
I had a Falcon Club van. It was a camper with sink, countertop, space for fridge, and a bed. I took several long trops in it. I also lived in it for a few months as a college student.
Currently have a 65 Falcon wagon in my garage. 302 with a cam and Holly fuel injection, C4 trans, disc brakes, and Vintage Air AC. slot mags and skyjacker air shocks.
drove it 500 miles to the Daytona Turkey Rod Run a couple years ago.

ReplyDeleteMy Dad taught me to drive in a Ford Falcon station wagon. Manual shift on the column, 3-speed.
