And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

One of the many reasons why I don't want society to fall apart. Cooking over coals is pretty much a lost art. And even using a wood stove for cooking is quite a difficult thing at first, especially for baking.
Never fear... we dry campers have been perfecting it for years. Our kids roast apples in the coals and have been teaching it to the young young ones. We even have cast iron waffle and pie makers.
