My neighbor has one and loves it.

  1. I have one and a 16 inch bar on it and it does just fine for basic cutting tasks.

  2. For occasional projects, they're ideal. Especially if you're tired of dickin around with a carburetor on a tool that gets used 2-3 times a year. Bonus, it runs off the same batteries as all my other cordless stuff.

    1. I looked & there is a Ryobi 18v 12" chainsaw! Running it all off the same battery is way more than a bonus...

    2. Been running a Ryobi 14" 40 volt and it does everything I need it to. I would not go into proffessional luberjacking with it but it meets my needs.

  3. Always check project farm to see if he tested the category of tool you are interested in. Nearly always enough information to determine which one will suit your needs.
