And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Stuff they used to talk about in photography 1, back in the film days.
Hint: How to get rid of camera reflection in the image. 1. A camera like a single or twin lens reflex allows you to see the final image before you take it, so if you see yourself reflected in the picture, don't take the shot! Move. 2. For portraits, use a telephoto lens and stay back. A normal or (god forbid) wide angle lens makes their nose appear to stick out toward the camera far too much. It's obvious in this photo it was a telephoto. 3. Sunlight is a blessing and a curse. Too much causes too prominent shadows, so choose a place that's sheltered from direct sun but that still allows a lens setting around f8; good depth of field, but hand holdable. 4. If in doubt, download the picture and look for a reflection in the subject's pupils. You can see a person standing there, visible in both pupils as close to full length, or more than just waist up, so standing back quite a way. They obviously know what they're doing.
I'll bet this is a photographer who knows what they're doing shooting someone who is used to being photographed. Just like virtually all of these beauties CW posts.
Hmmm… more nibbles…
ReplyDeletea heartfelt smile. warm
ReplyDeleteIs it snowbunny Tuesday? I prefer the brunette below.
ReplyDeleteA winner from her perfect teeth, trimmed but unpainted eyebrows, happy smile right down to those slender attractive fingers.
ReplyDeletesnoots crooked - she musta talked smack one time too many
ReplyDeleteMost of the women in these pictures are getting paid to look good.
ReplyDeleteNice smile.
ReplyDeleteBut going skiing in her bathrobe...?
She could chew through a tin can of dog food with those choppers.
ReplyDeleteLooks photoshopped. No shadow under the goggles by the skin, no reflection of camera in the goggles. Still pretty, though.
