    1. yeah, like tats on a beautiful woman.....Lessens the value.

I've driven an original and I gotta say that, while a LOT of fun, they don't drive all that great compared to modern sports cars. Which isn't to say that I would turn one down if you gifted me one

  3. Can a person over 6' tall " comfortably " drive one.
Been looking at the factory 5 kit.
    Looks like a fun project.

    1. But I should mention the Cobra was built for speed rather than comfort.

  4. Ran across a 1964 Road and Track or Car and Driver awhile back, can't remember, I CAN remember that the Cobra did 0 to 100 in 10 seconds with the 260 small block. With a light weight Ford small block, I'll bet they were very nimble and super fun!

  5. My friend has one with a 302 and it is scary fast. All aluminum frame fiberglass body. It is like strapping an outboard to your belt to go swimming.

  6. The 2 stripes on the drivers fender are to distinguish one team car from another at a glance during the race. You'll see variations with 1 or 2 stripes and different colors. I've read that the Shelby racing team's cars had the racing stripes everywhere, under the hood, the trunk etc.
