  1. I am making the trek from south GA back to Atlanta to move the rest of my stuff down to my new home this weekend. One of the stops will be to the Asian market for sauces and various soy sauce brands. Kikkoman is what I consider last choice and there are some light and dark Japanese and Chinese soy sauces with some unique flavors that can make them better for cooking or as a dipping sauce. Thirty years of being exposed to Atlanta's Asian foods has educated me a little into the different cooking methods and sauces.

  2. I've used this particular brand of shoyu, both for "dipping" for sushi and sashimi, and for cooking; went through 2 bottles in 6 months. I've tried many different brands over the years; IMHO, this is the least expensive, available good one I can find.

  3. "No preservatives". Heck, non needed! NOTHING will grow in this stuff. These genuine asian brands are all better than the industrial stuff.
