And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Given them temperatures I've been seeing, this might not be a bad idea. Plus, maybe you could plug it into your Tesla and charge.
Make sure you get the rheostat temperature controller or you will cook yourself. I have a heated vest and gloves for riding my motorcycle. The gloves get hotter than the vest and I have only one temp controller. I can have it controlling both where the vest is not warm enough or just controlling the vest or the gloves. Both will get hot enough to cook you without a controller.
When I rode bikes, I had the vest, gloves, and chaps for heat. Had multiple plugs for rheostats on each bike. The vest was always on a separate system. The gloves normally were connected to the chaps with a "Y" cord, if I bothered with the chaps at all. Mounted the rheostats to the bikes with Velcro on the backside, so they were handy for adjustments on the fly, and I could take them with me for theft protection if I didn't have a locking bag. Early bike system, late 80's?, the controllers were maybe 3x2"x1. Will
I have an ORORO in ODG. It is quite good. Battery life is exceptional. Project Farm has many other goid reviews also. https://youtu.be/yCXG5MTbIgQ?si=NNalCVEMCTJ5P2uF

ReplyDeleteA friend was a navigator on B-24s in ETO.
DeleteHe said the heater was barely sufficient to warm the feet or chest. Not both.
Yes, you could cycle between the two, but often it was cold enough that the unheated parts would freeze.
He suffered the effects of frostbite the rest of his life. No feelings, not even pins and needles, in his hands and feet. Frost bite took severaltoes

ReplyDeleteI noticed yesterday afternoon all of North Dakota was colder than thirty below.
DeleteIt was probably a slow day at Tesla of Fargo.
Would you really want to be wearing that when the Lithium battery powering it decides to go kaboom?
