    2. Where would you put it? No table space, nowhere to hang it, on your head is the only practical place for it. Easy theft item, both inside or out, whether horse or vehicle.

  3. In '95, was working in East TN for the 1st time. Ordered grits at breakfast. Only taters. No grits in the south? Heresy....has that changed?

    1. Depends on where you were. When I was growing up in East Tennessee in the ‘70s, grits were more of a Deep South thing. We were hillbillies, a separate culture within the South, with our own language and traditions. For instance, I never heard someone say “y’all” anywhere but TV, growing up. We always said “you’ns.”
