Barn Treasure

  1. It's actually not that old. The hood hump and the headlights tell us it is probably only from the 1980s, at the oldest. Could even be a lot newer.

    1. Wrong. Look at the mounting of the windshield wipers, the latch in the center of the windshield frame, the parking lights, the heater intake on the drivers side inside the grille, and the air intake cutout cover on the right side of the hood. Also, looks like no side marker lights on the fenders. The high back drivers seat is probably a re-fit. Most likely pre-1967.

  2. well it's a "CJ", and the last year for the CJ was 1986
(I have one), so its not newer than that
The "POS" YJ series (rectangular headlamps) started in 1987

  3. CJ5, which was introduced in 1955 and continued in production into the '80s. The top mounted windshield wipers moved to the bottom of the windshield frame on the CJ6. In the early '70s, plastic fender flares were added to accomodate wider tires, so this was probably built before then.

    1. Thanks. I was going to say that looked like my 1968 CJ5 but that was along time ago.
