And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Just beautiful! Used reverse image search trying to find which ship this is with no luck so far. From the shot the bowsprit is steel and looking aft on the starboard side she appears to be square rigged on 3 masts....
Since the footage of the schooner Tiki III was shot for real on the water and the rest of the show was sound stage and art department foliage, that makes sense.
I remember "Adventures in Paradise" very well. It was one of my favorite shows. My 8yo self very much wanted to join the crew of the schooner Tiki and sail off to adventures. (At the time, I had never even seen the ocean.) That show was one of the reasons I joined the Navy instead of one of the other services.
Gardner McCay, who played Adam Troy on the show, is buried near here - 600 miles from the nearest ocean.
