And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
It behaves in a lot of ways like an RC airplane. Can’t say for sure but, as an airline pilot myself, failing to track centerline to that degree, even from the French, calls into question your fitness for the job. Short takeoff run, extreme elevon deflection at rotation and how it “swims” a bit after breaking ground make it look like a model. The afterburner glow is hard to reconcile for a model unless there has been some photoshop skill applied. Either way, neat perspective.
It looks to me like this video is sped up. That would account for the jet appearing like an RC plane, and the short time from throttle up to wheels up. The fact that the plane is traveling directly away from the camera and the sped up video would account for the “short” takeoff. I can’t comment on being off centerline.
Afterburners
ReplyDeleteNothing on the hard points, including missiles, what is the target.
ReplyDeleteWhy isn't he going down the centerline?
ReplyDeleteFrench.
DeleteIn strong crosswinds, I've used the width of the runway. It doesn't seem like much, a few degress to the wind, but it helps quite a bit.
DeleteI'm very fussy about maintaining the centerline. I am wont to disregard that in strong crosswinds and a wide enough runway.

ReplyDeleteTaking off into the wind for added lift?

The French can still make airplanes, even if the Brits and Huns can't.
ReplyDeleteSit down. Shut up. Hang on. We'll get this thing into the air.
ReplyDeleteTest flight after maintenance. Light fuel load, a real hot rod! Ex Air Force Crew Chief (Plane Captain for you squids).
