Come on, US, get going...

  1. A Canadian company is attempting to reopen the Idaho Maryland mine in Grass Valley, CA. It was one of the two richest mines in the northern Mother Lode and core samples indicate some of the richest deposits are still underground. A local faction is well organized to stop the reopening, claiming a 'quality of life' issue.

What's ironic is that in the area near Sierra Nevada High School, located in a very toney area miles away from the mine's location, there are lots of 'No Mine,
Quality of Life' signs, and when you pass the electronic sign at the high school it proudly proclaims that Sierra Nevada is "The Home of the Miners".

The mine will never reopen. It's been tried two times before and after millions of dollars were spent trying it was beaten back both times by the Karens of the world. One knucklehead actually wrote a letter to the editor of the local paper stating that in his opinion "The world has all the gold it needs above ground. We don't need anymore".

    1. I recall from long ago during my stay in Grass Valley that it was called the Empire Mine. Is the "Idaho Maryland" a separate entity?

    2. Yes, the Idaho Maryland (2.4 million ounces produced) is about a mile northeast of the Empire (5.8 million ounces).

And I had an old age induced brain fart when it came to the name of the Home of the Miners. It's Nevada Union, not Sierra Nevada.

  2. US politicians only want mining outside of their eyesight: in other countries.

    1. Don't forget that the left absolutely does not care that those other countries pollute ten to hundred times more than any kind of mining that would be done here. But, to the left, global pollution only comes from what happens here. IDIOTS.

    1. Careful of Chinese gold; it can have a tungsten core, especially if bought on eBay or AliExpress

  5. South Africa seemed to really lose its steam right around the time Mandela took over and the whites were pushed to the side. Weird, huh?
