And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Consider that the cab on that truck was the same as on Dodge pickups as late as '48 year models. Same dash, same gauges, same swing out windshield. So if the cab is too hammered to deal with you just might be able to score a clean one somewhere. I've always had dreams of restoring something like that and stuffing a 4BT Cummins into it. And a 5-speed New Venture anti-theft device too, if I could get away with it.
That's a pretty short hood on those old WWII Dodge half-tons, Glenn. I'm not sure you could squeeze that much goodness in there. Legacy Classic Trucks can do it on a civilian off-road Power Wagon but their hoods are a bit longer.
