Too pretty to eat - Maybe

  1. Since I don't like the taste of seafood, I almost always release what I catch. But I have known a few good hunters and fishermen who have admired their quarry and marveled at its strength and beauty, and let it live another day, to spread those genes among the population. Stewards with an eye on a greater purpose. We need more men like that today.

    1. I've been one of those catch, admire, and release guys for over 30 years, but I do not begrudge a man killing a fish for the pan, and that there golden cutt is the perfect size for eating. Just add butter and a bit of salt and pepper.

  2. Fishing kills fish. Go to their homes and ask them what they think what they think about fishing. BTW, I will be lindy rigging for walleye this afternoon, lake pueblo. That is if the wind doesn't blow. Walleye, the other white meat. "Put and take" fish since colorado stocks over a hundred thousand of them a year in my backyard.

    1. Golden color, but those are classic cutthroat trout markings.
