1922 Buster Keaton with his wife Natalie Talmadge and their son Jimmie
My grandma used to call this guy the Man with the Stone Face. She was born in 1916 and probably watched some of his movies when they premiered at the cinemas.
Buster's looking a bit dour, but his wife looks lovely.
ReplyDeletealways.

ReplyDeleteBuster did his own stunts. A lot of them, were sheer genius and quite risky. Natalie was a good actress in her own right.
ReplyDeletesome were used in vaudville, he brought them on camera. jumping into a window through a change of wardrobe comes to mind.
DeleteOften tell people who say they hate silent movies watch The General and then get back to me.
ReplyDeletecinematography is excellent, Elgin Leslie perhaps.
DeletePretty woman!
ReplyDeleteMy father's nickname was "Buster" after Buster Keaton.
ReplyDeleteApparently, my dad was wild like Keaton when he was a kid.
Buster has the deadpan look perfected, better that Bob Newhart even.
