Automatic refers to either the ability to use single or double action or the ease by which the barrel is slipped out/off. Not how many bullets are fired on each trigger pull. Or at least that is how I read it :-)
The Webley was also and automatic. That meant the mechanism re-cocked the hammer and rotated the cylinder after each shot, so it was always in single action mode.
Automatic? Neat-looking latching action though.

ReplyDeleteI think the "automatic" refers to the ejection of the cases as the gun is opened.
