And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. Lauren Bacall, Harper’s Bazaar, 1943 - by Louise Dahl-Wolfe (1895 - 1989)
Lauren Becall isn't the only one in the photo that's drawing attention. Admiral Rachel Levine wants to know the name rank and serial number of that sailor boy. And the Dept. of Energy exec. Sam Brinton wants to groom rover.
Beautiful woman.
ReplyDeletelost no elegance over time. and quite a prize.
DeleteAnd a leftist.
DeleteSo, she never pushed it on anyone.

ReplyDeleteI remember when the media tried to frame Nicole Kiddman as " Legendary"....Bacall spoke up and said " What has she done ?"
ReplyDeleteBogart is my favorite actor of all time. They had one hell of a relationship.
ReplyDeleteHeck, even Bugs Bunny had the hots for her!
I've always thought Lauren Bacall was too pretty for the 1940's. I thought she should have been born around 1964 so I could've had a shot!
ReplyDeleteTimeless. She would be beautiful in any era.
