And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
True, Aggie. I've got a couple at my trout camp, 14 cuppers. We typically run them on the camp stove, but they'll work over a campfire too. Have had them for over 20 years. The ones I have are similar to this one, which is just a 9 cupper. (copy link to your browser).
If you smear hand soap or some other soap all over the bottom and halfway up the sides before you place one like this over a campfire, it makes cleaning the soot off of it much easier after use.
Pretty expensive for something with a lot of poor reviews.
ReplyDeleteThere are others made in stainless steel that have a bail and are less expensive too.

Used one like that for years, camping with my son. Throw away the perk basket. And make “Cowboy coffee “
ReplyDeleteNow THAT will wake you up in the morning!

ReplyDeleteYou must have been a Boy Scout.
DeleteI got one sorta like that on the stove right now. Every day use. Perc coffee tastes like home.
ReplyDeleteI make coffee everyday on stainless steel version.
