And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Unless the animal got into something he really shouldn't be it is actually not normal for a dog to be bathed. They need the natural oil on their skin. Controversial but true. Humans also could bath a tiny bit less for similar reasons.
While they do need to keep their natural oils, hoe often dogs should be bathed depends on a number of factors, including the dog's type of coat and their activity level, etc. Usually once every month to six weeks is OK, unless your pooch really likes to roll in cow patties or other similar noxious things on the ground (dead squirrels, snakes, and other things they are proud to smell like). If you're worried about their natural skin oils, there are doggie conditioning shampoos that really help. And don't use some of the cheap pet shampoos you get at grocery stores and hardware stores - they are really awful and in some cases dangerous. Oh, and make damn sure you rinse them well enough to get all the shampoo off of them - residual soap can really cause skin irritations.
Not enough to bite the arm that it's gripping.
