  2. Uses "D" cells, I don't keep those around anymore but I do keep "AA" & "AAA" batteries.
    My old & favorite Mag-Lite took "D" cells, I found adapters on Amazon that put 3 "AA" batts in an adapter that will take the place of a "D" cell. They work well!

  3. And it does pretty well. I can get 2 nights on low out of a set of batteries. Enough air movement to keep it from getting stuffy, but not enough to move a newspaper off your lap. A small roll up solar charger, and you're good for a few days.

  4. I have a similar older model (that I cannot recollect the name) which has the combination light fan features, but does not have the ability to set on ground for fan shown on upper right. Meant to be suspended for tent light / fan, it is very useful when sleeping in truck when temps are not cool enough.
