Mrs. CW saw someone using one of these today. When it's 114 in the shade, it's not a bad little gizmo to have.

  1. Get a microfiber towel , wet it and roll it up and wear it around your neck just below the fan's intake......

  2. I live in the hot, humid South. I also wear hearing aids and I worry about salty sweat ruining my hearing aid investment when I'm out walking. This might be a solution.

  3. When I think of Redding, I think of HOT summers. A fan would be good.

  5. Just bought a cooling vest off Amazon. I work in manufacturing and this heat seriously affects my disposition.

  6. Evaporative cooling from a wet towel in the fan's breeze either prior to the intake (the humid air could rust metallic parts) or beyond the exhaust may help; otherwise evaporation of sweat will have to serve for cooling.
