  3. My Dad had a 53. 3 on the tree with overdrive. First time I had ever seen 100 MPH when I was 12 years old coming home from Boy Scouts. It was a rocket! Color was a baby shit yellow...

  4. They were WAY ahead of their time in styling! Probably why they went broke. Sure made some nice looking cars, esp. Avanti.

    1. I honestly felt if they'd of held onto making trucks only they might still be around or at least hung on a bit longer. As far as styling I guess each to his own, I was never a big fan of any autos they produced. I will say though that their fans are a loyal bunch

    2. Maybe to each his own, but are you really going to tell me a 1953 Buick Special looks better than a 1953 Studebaker Commander? Look them up!
