I wish I had all that money I sunk into them 65 years ago. Skee-Ball in the Asbury Park, NJ Boardwalk arcade took lots of my lawn cutting & paper delivering cash too.
Back in my very long ago air force days I could play one of these for hours and hours for very little money. Until someone came in and 'adjusted' the system and there no longer was any way I could get free games. This 'someone' started a new company and has gotten very rich since. The name of that company? Dominion.
I had a pinball machine when my wife and I married. My new 13 year old daughter spent many hours playing. When she started dating, we could easily tell which boys she really liked. She let them win.

ReplyDeleteBack in my day, games didn't have pixels - they had balls. Of steel.
