  2. By the way, if you have never tried freediving I would strongly encourage it.
I used to dive Venice beach Fla. for sharks teethe. Fauna would come right up to you to check you out. Dolphins were great! Sharks, not so much.

    1. When I was a kid in North Carolina, we'd find shark teeth in the sand of the sand box.

    2. Just for giggles, I salt a few teeth on hiking trails on mountains.

  3. There are strong currents like that between Playa del Carmen and Cozumel. I've done that and Superman flying over the reefs several times.

  4. That is eerie, I could imagine too dangerous if you are unaware and have no exit point.

  5. Drift diving is fun and exciting. We'd always have someone in the boat as observer and pick up point. Folks also use a long tether to the dinghy.

  6. There's some pretty good drift-diving in Tobago, too. It was supposedly one of Jacques Cousteau's favorite spots. The nice thing is, you get down on the coral and the current carries you along for a great show. If you're drifting, you're breathing slow and easy. Your air tanks last a long time.

    1. Yep, inhale and rise slightly, exhale and drop closer. Soaring.
