  2. A Winchester 1886 in 45-70, judging from the height of the rear sight, it's setup to touch something a long ways away.

    1. How many use lever actions for long range shooting? I suspect that the user is using an incorrect alignment with the front post lower than the rear posts and is compensating by raising the rear sight.

      Yes, it a repro made by Miroku for Browning. I have one. They are very well made--the action locks up like a bank vault--smooth and crisp. And it does look like the rear sight is set for that distant patch of the road.
