Abandoned Aeroflot Antonov An-12 cargo plane, which crashed during landing at Greem Bell airfield, Graham Bell Island, on the Russian arctic territory, in 1973 due to pilot error. Green Bell airfield is the northernmost active airfield of the Russian Federation.

Deletesimply put, all Aeroflot aircraft and crews are in reserves of the Air Forces of CIS. that is why they have weapons positions built into the airframes. the red star on the tail signified the aircraft was not a reserve(aeroflot) aircraft and belonged to an active duty aviation front.
