And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
There is probably a traffic light there that gave up its responsibilities. Hence the mayhem. Looks like buses are turning around, or whatever. I remember reading something online from a Euro visitor to the US some years ago. They were amazed at the discipline displayed by US drivers, in an urban situation, when the traffic lights puked. Everyone treated it as a 4-way stop and took their turns, appropriately. The Eurocommenter sort of specified what we see here as what would happen under similar circumstances in their home country were the traffic lights to fail.
